Polar Heart Rate Monitors
Polar is the leading brand of heart rate monitors. (And is the brand I use myself.) They make
a few different models, with a range of prices and features.
Polar Electro was founded in 1977 after the company invented the first wireless heart rate monitor that
was as accurate as an EKG. It was created for helping train the National Cross Country Ski Team
of Finland. The company is based near Oulu, Finland - but operates in over 50 countries total. They also
make other types of sports related instruments.
