There is a lot of fitness equipment that is affordable enough to buy for home use. Much of it is for cardiovascular exercise, but there is also equipment available for strength training and flexibility exercises.



Cardiovascular Exercise Equipment

There are many different types of cardiovasculer exercises to choose from - and just about as much equipment to choose from also! Some of these include: treadmills, stationary bicycles, stairclimbers, rowing machines, elliptical trainers and Ladder Climbers. For those who wish to exercise outside - remember to wear the proper footwear and head protection for bicycling, walking, running, etc.

Strength Training Exercise Equipment

While a lot of strength training equipment is too expensive for most people to buy, there is still a lot that is affordable. Examples include: dumbbells and barbells, weight benches, multigyms, exercise bands and exercise tubes.

Flexibility and Coordination Exercise Equipment and Supplies

There is not as much equipment available for this type of exercise, but there is some. This includes stretching mats and large exercise balls. Many tapes and dvds are also available to learn more about flexibility and coordination exercises.
